Comet Foods (Comet) is accredited under the SQF2000 Food Safety System. The system enables the manufacter (Comet) to produce safe, quality food under HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines. Comet employs a full time quality assurance manager who monitors, maintains and continually improves the quality system.

Comet believes that Quality and Consistency is the backbone to any successful business. End products are produced to an agreed specification. Our staff are trained in Food Safety both internally and by external third parties.

Raw produce is supplied by approved suppliers who play an integral role in the successful manufacturing of our vegetables. By sourcing our product both locally and interstate, we are able to manufacture our full range of products all year round.

Comet Foods purpose built facility ensures:

• cold chain is maintained
• temperature is controlled and monitored
• sanitation is controlled
• waste-stream is separated
• backdock loading facility for distribution

This allows us to consistently deliver a safe, high quality product to customers below five degrees celsius.

The production facility houses the latest machinery which can peel, dice, slice and cut any vegetable Australia has to offer. To back this, Comet employs a full time maintenance engineer to ensure equipment and machinery are 100% operational.
